Dov had a Genesis. One day he will get disc brakes and a sweet Gravé whip.
I became eligible for the C2W scheme at work today and signed up for the grand.
What shall I get? Half decent mtb? A bit of Rapha? Some fancy wheels? Oh, I wonder if my lbs can put it towards kids bikes?
I need to clear out some of my bits and pieces which could raise some extra funds. 1 x 2015 CAAD10 Si 54cm frameset. 1 x Burls Cross (Canti) 53cm frameset if anyone is interested. 1 x Ultegra 5700 groupset with long drop brakes (Race and Compact chainsets 170mm).
Get the kids new bikes. They’ll probably get ridden then.
Get an e bike.
When they can develop a decent looking one, then yes.
You'd probably need risers
Still waiting :)
Want a road + frame for some 650b action.
Something like this. Full scoble.
Are you trying to get to the 1 bike, 1 ride ratio?
I want rid of my arkose.
I want single speed. I want wide tyre capacity (38 max). I want horizontal top tube.
Essentially asteel fixie from back in the day with disc brake capacity.
Evans have the Crockett in your size for £600 right now. At your age, a sloping too tube will soon be essential.
Fancy another project.
Surly should fit the bill.
Hey guys, I've picked up an old Giant Bowery as a bit of a project, and a initial step into the hipster single speed world. It was a bit of a wreck and I am stripping it back to the frame, fork and bars to then begin building back up. It will mostly be used for commuting and getting around. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on:
A good single speed wheel set? I'm thinking these: https://www.dolan-bikes.com/miche-x-press-road-track-bike-wheels.html
A solid single speed chainset? Thinking of this: https://www.cyclesurgery.com/p/miche-primato-advance-track-chainset-48-49-50t-R6414042.html?colour=180
Bartape preferences? Solid, simple brakes & levers?
Any other tips, tricks or recommendations on this would be ace and welcomed. Cheers guys!
Sram omniums, and s500 levers.
Phil wood hubs on dt Swiss rims (460?)
3/32 chain, chainring, sprocket.
Get a messenger bag!
I keep looking at stragglers.
I'd need a carbon fork...
I literally have all of this stuff in my shed you can have for free...
I may take you up on that offer only if you promise to take something for them? I'm back in London on the 12/13 weekend if it would suit?
Watch out Matt.
Nobody has ever returned from a visit to Ved's shed. We used to have 100 members.
He'll definitely take something in return.
