Chilled route this week. Gather at Cadence from 08:30, leave by 08:45.
In. Bug hill looks like a nasty little one.
It's a great little climb. Nice and wooded over.
I should mention that there is a small off road section, just a bit of bridlepath. If looking too wet, we can take blacktop diversion.
Me no likey off-road.
I sound like a right downer. I am very much looking forward to this ride!
Looked to see if it was BMMF's Church Lane section. It was not.
Good grief no, I wouldn't subject Nath to that! :-)
Don't worry Nath, we can take the high ground.
I'm back in the game after my new bike arrived yesterday. Pedals arrive tomorrow, all going well I should be set to join you guys for this ride, very much looking forward to getting back in the saddle!
Off on holiday for three weeks, will get back out with you guys come October :)
Have a good holiday Matt.
Phil, welcome back to the game.
Bug hill is actually a nice climb
I see a tidy crew gathering for this ride, thank you all for signing up. Always good to see the dancing purple hippo.
@Dan join us. I know it's a bit early but we should be catching the best of the weather.
To fit the guards or not....
Weather is looking good so far
^^ Yeah come on @Dan! I haven't seen you in aaaagggeesss.
This seems like a short ride (am i reading it right - 33 miles?) but getting over to Crystal Palace from Hammersmith should add to the distance. Is there no ride leaving RP this week?
You read it right, short and sweet. Perfect if you are coming from H'smith.
No RP ride unless anyone wants to lead one from there. Ride lead volunteers are always welcome. #hintymchint
I'm entertaining family this Sunday, but would have donned my new disco slippers for this.
Also the thread title @jaygee @dommyracer @Matt_N - "you had to be there"
I'm heading to Cadence now. Should be on time.
Thanks everyone for attending. I had a good time, hope you did too.
Thanks Sam. Had a good time. Great route as always!
Yep thanks for the ride out. Good route, good pace, good company.
I had a great time! Excellent route, pace and company.
was a bit nippy innit...
The route needs some thought if you're gonna use it again, it's really nice bits joined together with suburbia. It just didn't flow that well in parts.
